U.S. Customs and Border Patrol officers found 655 pounds of marijuana in a shipment of jalapenos May 27.

Officers discovered the drugs in a white 2000 Freightliner tractor trailer at the Pharr International Bridge cargo facility, according to a news release. There were 57 packages of marijuana, valued at nearly $131,000.

The trailer had been referred for a secondary inspection, during which a non-intrusive imaging system revealed the drugs.

“This is another outstanding seizure from our CBP officers at the Pharr cargo facility,” Severiano Solis, port director for the Hidalgo/Pharr/Anzalduas Port of Entry, said in the release. “Remarkable interception.”
