Craving someFIREJelly?Us too. Which is why we smoked a Bleet and decided to jump in the kitchen and figure out if we could ad some fire to a hot pepper jelly recipe handed down from my grandmothers grandmother back in the 50s!There are so many things I loved about the dish that came out of our cannabis kitchen this week! Our very own Chef C put together this absolutely stunning charcuterie plate she currently serves at one of her So Cal restaurants. We have Chef C's special recipes of Salami, Prosciutto and Capocollo with some awesome napa valley cheeses we got from a local cheese shop. The highlight was of course this cannabis pepper jelly using Honey Pot's Medicated Honey Infusion. This stuff was good. Other than licking the cap dry, slathering it on some hand crafted meats, wine country cheese and this delicious medicated candied almonds with pomegranate was absolutely to die for! (and we will for sure be posting a recipe of that soon!)We like to eat our Cannabis Jelly with Cream Cheese but there are plenty of other delicious uses for this medicated pepper jelly. Follow our recipe below and use it as a topping on your own favorite sweet or savory dish as an experiment!Cannabis Fire Jelly Recipe5 c sweet peppers (deseeded and finely chopped)2-3 habanero peppers (finely chopped and seeding optional based on heat preference)***instead of chopping, you can use food processor if you have one***2 c vinegar1 tsp salt1 1/2 c sugar8 oz THC infused honey1 1/2 tbsp chili powder2 tsp Tabasco2 tbsp cornstarch2 tbsp room temp waterCook Sweet Peppers, Vinegar, Salt, Sugar and Honey on stove top on medium heat for 10 minutes stirring occasionally.Add Chili powder, Tabasco, Habaneros and Crumble/Wax.In a separate dish add cornstarch and water, stir until consistent. Slowly stir cornstarch mixture into the pot of jelly. Reduce heat and let simmer for 30 minutes. Turn off heat and carefully pour jelly into clean jars. Seal and place in refrigerator to chill. After it cools down put it on whatever you'd like, It's great with cream cheese 🙂All in all I love the medicated Honey. The flavor isn't overpowering and I thought it actually tasted pretty good. Next time we make this we'll have to pair it with another Cannabis creation to up the potency!Enjoy!
