Georgia Father Petitions Congress on Medical Marijuana – WLTZ

Parents of sick children who need medical marijuana are asking congress for help.

Tuesday April 12th, supporters rallied at the capitol building in support of new legislation that would protect safe access to these treatments, including a bill that would decriminalize cannabis at the federal level.

Georgia Father, Sebastien Cotte’s boy has a medical condition he says, is greatly improved by using cannabis oil.

The oil is a form of medical marijuana.

Cotte says his message to congress is, he is a regular guy who works hard. Cotte says, “I just want to help my kids, we don’t have much time. I am not a criminal. I love my kid more than anything. I just want to help my kid.”

Right now 29 states have legalized medical marijuana use. Some states like Massachusetts, Colorado and California permit recreational use and plant growing as well.
