Narcotics detectives on Tuesday arrested two East Nashville men after they received a package suspected of containing a large quantity of marijuana, Metro police said.

Nicholas McGoldrick, 36, and Jamar Seay, 35, are charged with possession of marijuana for resale and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to police. McGoldrick has also been charged with felony gun possession.

Detectives searched the East Nashville home Tuesday and seized 13 pounds of marijuana, two pistols, $1,491 cash and assorted foods suspected of containing marijuana/THC.

An exact monetary value of all the drugs was not immediately known but, depending on the marijuana’s grade, the 13 pounds would go for between $35,750 and $58,500 on the street.

As of Tuesday evening, McGoldrick was being held at the Metro jail on $26,500 bond. Seay was being held on $21,500 bond.
