The smell of marijuana during a traffic stop in Johnson City revealed more drugs, chukka sticks and $3,220 in cash, according to police.

Florian Gjiza, 20, of Brown Street in Johnson City, was arrested after being pulled over for a traffic violation, police said Thursday.

A patrol officer who smelled the marijuana searched it further and found more evidence: 2½ pounds of marijuana, ecstasy, prescription cough syrup, hydrocodone, liquid THC and some concentrated cannabis, according to Johnson City police.

Chukka sticks and the cash were also found, police said.

Gjiza was charged with felony counts of criminal possession of marijuana and criminal possession of a controlled substance, along with misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was sent to the Broome County jail to await further court action.
