Xavier guard Trevon Bluiett was arrested Monday afternoon on one misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana, hash oil or hashish, according to a report from the Indianapolis Star.

After a breakout performance in the NCAA Tournament averaging 21.25 points and leading Xavier to an Elite Eight appearance, Bluiett declared for the 2017 NBA draft but did not sign with an agent — leaving the door open for a return to college.

The 6-foot-6 Bluiett averaged 18.5 points and 5.7 rebounds per game in his junior season and transformed into the Big East Conference’s third leading scorer behind Josh Hart and Marcus Foster, and easily one of the most consistent. He has averaged double figures in scoring since he began his career as a freshman for the Musketeers.
